Revelation 14:12-13
Revelation is not an easy book to read or write from. I wanted to try though. The disciple John who walked with Jesus wrote the book of Revelation. I have read the entire book. It’s mostly about future events.
In verses 9-11, just before our verses, an angel is talking about Hell. Fire, sulfur, smoke, and no relief day or night are listed as things tormenting people who worshiped the beast and his statue, as well as accepting the mark of the beast. (During the end times.) Because that is so terrible, our first verse to write is basically saying, “Don’t do those things (worship the beast or his statue) endure patiently, obeying God’s commands and maintain your faith in Jesus.”
We are blessed because we know a little about Heaven. The voice from Heaven speaking in verse 13 says, “Blessed are those who die in the LORD from now on.” (That means Christians.) We will not have to work hard in Heaven. The good deeds we did on earth are stored up there. Remember Jesus said in Matthew 6:20, “Store your treasures in Heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.” One HUGE treasure we can store is other people. When we share our testimony and they get saved- they will go to Heaven too!
