Psalm 69:16-18
Have you ever wondered what these worship songs sound like? I mean, besides the language being either Hebrew or Aramaic, I wonder about the music too. Psalm 69 is a song of David to be sung to the tune of “Lilies”. Without recording devices, the only way we could know is if the music notes were written somewhere. (We have the lyrics.)
David just was so talented and blessed with everything he touched. He went from a shepherd boy to a king and became a mighty warrior in between… BUT he dealt with a lot. In his distress, even in song, he cried out to God for help. He knew that God has unfailing love & mercy for him. My NLT Bible says, “Your mercy is plentiful.” Never running out.
Gid was good to David, especially in the years that he was running from Saul. God is STILL good and His mercy is STILL plentiful. He will take care of us, just like He took care of David. We can even use these words and pray them to God too. How cool is that?
