Psalm 22:23-24

How many of you realize there is a difference between hearing and listening? Have you ever been on the phone with someone and they were quiet while you talked? Or they just said, “Uh huh.” a lot? They heard you talking but they were not really listening.

When we listen to people talking, we pay close attention to them. You hear every word and process it because you are focused on them. God is that way with us. He did it for Israel, so He will do it for us. When we struggle or suffer through things, God listens to every prayer. He does not want us to suffer or struggle. He wants us to have good lives. He will never leave or forsake us.
