Psalm 126:5-6
I know we aren’t farmers and these are agricultural type words, but I thought we could relate. I also think we wrote this last month but in a prayer and I wanted to go over it with yall.
Planting seeds back in Bible times was not easy. After tilling up the ground with ox and plow, (or by hand with a hoe) they had to go little by little, either digging holes and putting 1 seed at a time in each hole or throwing seeds out of a bag they were carrying. Can you imagine bending over to dig a small hole, drop a seed, stand up, then do it again? I WOULD be in tears.
When it’s harvest time though and those seeds have grown into vegetables, you have joy while you harvest!
My interpretation of this is when we go through hard times, maybe specifically while praying for our unsaved of prodigal loved ones, we might cry, but we are planting seeds in their life. When they fully surrender to God, we will “harvest” and have GREAT joy!! I know I will for sure.
