Psalm 119:45

Psalm 119 is a very interesting chapter. It is an acrostic poem with 22 stanzas, one for each successive letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Each of the 8 verses within each stanza begins with the Hebrew letter name in its heading. I’m unsure of who the author of this poem is, but it has some really good advice woven in.

As we have talked about many times, the “law” aka 10 Commandments doesn’t bring freedom, as salvation does, but it does guide their lives. This verse doesn't say “law” or “10 Commandments”. It just says the word commandments. I think this means reading God’s Word and paying attention to what ARE commandments from Him. Like love your neighbor as yourself. There are different commandments in both the Old and New Testaments that are great to follow and they help us walk in freedom.
