Psalm 118:5-6

Today's verses show a totally different way we are free as Christians. David might be the writer of this Psalm but it’s not clear.

In this Scripture, God set a person free from distress. Distress is defined as “great pain, anxiety, or sorrow; acute physical or mental suffering”. This could have been David because he had a lot of experience with stress and running from Saul. Fear is not from God. It is a spirit that attaches itself to us, sometimes. There are real reasons to be afraid. But, there are things we shouldn’t be afraid of. (Like people)

God can literally do anything! He will help when we cry out. He will set us free from fear of ALL types! All we have to do is ask.
