Proverbs 6:16-19

My Bible has chapter six titled, “Lessons for Daily Life”. These 7 things the LORD hates fits right into that topic.

1. Haughty eyes- haughty is defined as “disdainfully proud; scornfully arrogant; snobbish.”

2. Lying tongue

3. Hands that kill the innocent

4. A heart that plots evil

5. Feet that race to do wrong

6. A false witness who lies

7. A person who sows discord in a family

Let’s be clear on something, all of these things are FORGIVABLE! They are just things God hates, therefore we should strive to not do them.

I pride myself on not lying, but after reading something a friend sent me, and writing this, I realize I have lied to myself for years! I have told myself I’m not enough in some areas & WAY too much in others! That needs to stop!

Living the world’s ways only leads to distractions. It’s not a happy go lucky fun life. (Despite what Hollywood says.) When we live these ways and do these things God hates, we aren’t living the abundant life Hesus came to give us.
