Proverbs 30:7-9

Believe it or not, but Solomon didn’t write this chapter. Agur son of Jaketh wrote it. Scholars aren’t sure who he was, but he was wise according to the things he wrote in this chapter.

I found this prayer years ago and I pray it on occasion now. That's one thing I love about the Bible. We can turn Scripture into prayers, and sometimes we can pray someone else’s words like this.

After my divorce in 2013, I was on a fixed income. (Which was the amount he decided to give me each week.) I was a stay at home homeschooling mom at the time. (It took me a year to find a job.) The first 2 weeks went to the house payment & car payment. So I lived off of 2 weeks of money for all of my other bills. The food stamp place said I “made too much money” to qualify. I had 2 teenage boys & an 11 year old daughter at home. I went from a large $200 a week grocery budget to barely anything. BUT GOD! He always provided! I had to say no a lot until I got a job, but we made it.

No matter what your financial situation is, I believe this is a great prayer to pray. Had you ever seen these verses before?
