Proverbs 28:13-14

Have you ever heard that saying, “You’re only as sick as your secrets.”? I think that’s true. When we hide our sins from the people who could & would pray for us, that’s not good. James 5:16 says, “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” Now, this does not mean tell everyone or post on social media. It DOES mean tell someone you are close to and that you trust. Nobody is perfect. So this isn't a legalistic type thing. This is literally something you struggle with, but haven’t told anyone. Once you confess, it will start to get better. I promise.

Verse 14 is not about a fear that cripples you. Jesus came to give us abundant life. It’s not abundant if we are living in fear of doing wrong. Let’s be honest, we ARE going to do wrong. We are human. The only perfect human was/is Jesus. Don’t live in anxiety and worry, but do your BEST to live God’s ways so that you stay out of trouble.

It’s my prayer that you find someone you fully trust to confess anything you need to, that way healing can begin for you.
