Proverbs 27:9-10
Today’s verses are both about friends. Over the years, I've had some awesome friends who have given me heart felt counsel and walked with me through hard times. Today is one of those friends birthday! She is a Marine who served our country. She loves to serve & help and has done a lot for me over the years. One thing that she said stuck with me is, “Work smarter, not harder.” There are many tasks I do that I think about that advice.
She has had disasters over the last few years. I feel like I haven’t done all that I probably could for her, but I tried.
The only reason to stop being friends is if it’s a toxic friendship. Even with me in other state, I still talk to my friends in my hometown. (So moving doesn’t have to change your friendships terribly.) Boundaries are ok. And sometimes, friendships simply don’t last. That’s ok too. God will bring the right people into your life at just the right time.
I pray that you all have Godly friendships! People who point you to God and help you always grow closer to Him. He knows who you need in your life.
