Proverbs 21:2-3

Today’s verse reminds me of something else I love about God. He sees our hearts. People can SAY anything to us. We can SAY anything to God. But He sees our hearts and motives. He knows beyond our words. We can justify our actions and think we are doing right, but God knows.

Back in Solomon's days, they still had to sacrifice animals in the Temple. That was God’s way of forgiving sins. Even back then, God wanted His people to follow His ways and do what was right. He wants that from us too. We should NOT be in a religious check list, ya know? Just reading our Bibles to say we did. Going to church to check a box. (Because we are consuming & not serving.) Being kind fir the wrong reasons. You get my point. God wants us to be fully surrendered. To sacrifice ourselves for His ways. Leave the old human flesh behind and walk in the LIGHT of all things of God! That’s how I strive to live. Who’s with me??!
