Proverbs 19:3 and 22-23

God DOES NOT cause bad things to happen. He is good. While I know He did a lot of stuff in the Old Testament, that was different. That was the old covenant. When Jesus came, God placed the new covenant in the world.

We should “fear” the Lord, as in awe and reverence, but we shouldn't let OUR mistakes become God’s fault. Getting mad at God for something WE did or dudn’t do doesn’t make sense. He cannnot over ride our free will. Regardless of the number of warnings He sends or Holy Spirit promptings we ignore, it’s OUR fault if we didn’t do what He wanted us to. OR if we are living outside of His ways.

Loyalty is important. When we are loyal to God & each other, we know we can trust that person and God knows He can trust us. Being honest is just a requirement in life. We can’t live God’s ways by lying or cheating anything or anyone.
