Proverbs 15:3-4
With so many bad things happening around the world, it’s not hard to ask, “Where is God?” Many people struggle to even believe there is a God because of the evil they see. They wonder why He let’s bad things happen if He’s so good.
God is good & He is watching everywhere. There is a difference between “seeing” and “watching”, don’t you agree? You can SEE many things briefly and not watch them. Watching means seriously paying attention for an extended time. (God watches all the time, He never sleeps.)
God does not CAUSE evil to happen because He is good. We were born with a sinful nature because of Adam & Eve’s sin, therefore, sinning comes natural to us. God loves all, so He is watching over all. He doesn’t want bad things to happen to us, but sometimes they do because He can’t over-ride a humsn’s free will.
If we can take time to speak gently to people, it will benefit a lot. I had a situation at work a few weeks ago that I’m still needing to move past. The words spoken to me were condescending more than anger. Speaking gently and kind is just a much nicer way to treat people. This situation was not deceitful at all, but deceit is terrible. (As we’ve discussed before.) It crushes a spirit because it causes the person to not trust anymore. Let’s be mindful of how we talk to others today. Speak life!
