Philippians 4:4-5

Paul’s letter to the church in Philipi has so many great things in it. Our verses today are under the title, “Words of Encouragement.”

One reason Paul was writing this was because 2 church leaders Eoudia and Syntyche were not getting along. I'm not sure of an individual that was supposed to get this letter, but Paul was hoping he would let these words help this disagreement.

Even though the words were written to them for that purpose, they can also be used for us and to encourage us in hard times or disagreements with others. We have discussed the fact that we have JOY because we have Holy Spirit in us. We have access to joy 24 hours a day, 365 days a year that we can choose joy over other things in order to be joyful.
