Matthew 11:28-30

Today's verses are about something specific that Jesus has given us freedom from. The dictionary defines burden as, “that which is carried; load & that which is borne with difficulty.” The way I have heard these passages taught is usually about our earthly daily burden. Work, family, friends, difficult situations with all of that. Which, I do believe is true. However, being born into a sinful world with a sinful nature is also a burden.

Jesus wants us to exchange sin with the freedom of His forgiveness. We don’t have to carry anything at all! If we let Jesus into our lives, HE carrie’s things for us. He took everything on the cross in our place and He gives us life & life more abundant.

The world seems to be getting crazier and more out of God’s will. We can let Jesus be our burden and sin carrier! We can take His easy yoke of life and not get bogged down by the world. Doesn’t that sound amazing!?
