Luke 24:22-23

Starting at verse 13 of chapter 24 in Luke, we see the Walk To Emmaus story. Our verses are spoken by some of Jesus's followers (one named Cleopas) to Jesus Himself.

These 2 men walking to Emmaus were discussing everything that happened to Jesus on the day He rose from the grave. I think it’s interesting that God didn't allow them to recognize Him. I guess God wanted the Gospel told for the first time so it could be recorded and used.

As far as the angels go, there are a few different stories on whether there was 1 or 2 at the tomb, but I wanted to share this story because we see they didn't leave the angels out. The angels were the messengers to confirm that Jesus was no longer in the grave. It would have been easy to think His body was stolen or something strange like that, given all the controversy surrounding His death. Those angels KNEW what happened and joyfully reported that He was alive!
