Hebrews 1:5-7

There is a lot going on in today’s verses! The title just above verse 5 in my Bible is, “The Son Is Greater Than Angels”. That’s pretty direct and to the point.

God created the angels but He is making sure they and we know how Jesus is more important than them. He will never call one of the angels son. The 2 quotes in verse 5 are referring back to Psalm 2:7 and 2 Samuel 7:14. Don’t you live how God does this? It's proof that the Bible is inspired by Him and written by men.

We see that the angels worship Jesus. This puts them below Him in the order of Heaven. Like us, they are the created worshiping the Creator. Verse 6 is a quote from Deuteronomy 32:43.

Last but not least, verse 7 tells us that God sends His angels. That cross reference is Psslm 104:4 but only the King James Version and the Greek say “angels” in it. He sends the angels to do whatever He wants and like the wind, we can't see them, (most of the time), but we can feel their affects sometimes.

I love the Bible! I love learning and growing and seeing new things. Because the Bible is active and alive, it’s never boring to read!
