Luke 17:15-18
Our verses today are after Jesus healed 10 men from leprosy. He was at the border of Samaria and Galilee. As Jesus entered a village, they asked Him to have mercy on them. All Jesus did was tell them to go show themselves to the priests. As soon as they put action to their faith and started walking, they noticed they were healed. Samaritans were hated by Jews and I’m thankful Jesus was showing how He loved everyone.
Out of the 10 men, only 1 came back and thanked Jesus. I don't understand that. We should thank Jesus for everything and especially when we KNOW that He did something for us. Sometimes when I pray, I feel like I say thank You too much. But then again, I kinda doubt that’s possible! God has done so much for us that we could probably spend the rest of our lives thanking Him, right?
There are times though, specifically that Jesus heals us or people we love. We definitely need to thank Him then!
