Colossians 4:2

We talked about this some on Group Me yesterday. Prayer is simply talking to God like we talk to a loved one. Sometimes we probably try to talk in different ways, but honestly, we don’t have to. God is our Father & Friend. We can bring ANYTHING to Him and talk to Him about it. Thanking God in prayer is really good. I feel like I almost continually say thank You to Him while I pray.

Having an alert mind in prayer, to me, means listening to His promptings and following up on them. While we pray, sometimes God brings people and situations to our minds. God also places people in our dreams for us yo pray for. I think that’s a neat way He gets us to pray. What does “alert mind” make you think of?

A thankful heart is grateful for anything. Even the hard times. Which isn't easy to do. God just wants a relationship with us. That means we talk to Him and He replies. (In different ways.)
