John 15:18-19

Today's verses are Jesus talking. I'm pretty sure He was talking to His disciples. When He mentions "the world", I think He means anyone not living His way as well as Satan and his demons. At this point and time, His way was radical. It was so different from their Jewish law.  They had allowed a religious spirit to control them & they had distorted God's original way. (For example, we know God gave 10 Commandments, right? The Jewish leaders had added over 600 more rules on their own.)

This whole notion of do whatever feels good to you is worldly. NOT Biblical. Jesus is warning them & us that we will be hated for our relationship with Him because we are NOT of this world. (Once we get saved.)

Jesus wants a relationship with everyone. He died for everyone. Some people reject Him. They will probably reject us too. That's ok. You live like a citizen of Heaven and let Jesus handle them. He's got your back.
