Hebrews 13:12-14

Sorry for starting us off with a "so" and "also", but I had to keep us from writing a bunch. Verse 10 is talking about how we have an altar that the high Priest didn't have. The requirement to forgive sins was a sacrifice. The high Priest was responsible for that and animals were burned outside the camp/city gates.

Jesus died outside the camp/city gates too as a symbol that their animal sacrifices were no longer needed. When you accept Jesus as your LORD and Savior, you become a citizen of Heaven.

I have a theory that our souls are in Heaven until God sends us into a physical body. I think that's why babies like lights and ceiling fans. It reminds them of Heaven & the angels. But the older we get, we don't remember any of that. That's strictly MY thoughts.

Our verses this month will help remind us that while we are on earth, we will not stay here forever. There is a home waiting for us with the Lord in Heaven. Sometimes this reminder can help us get through our current life situations, as well as shift our focus from worldly events. I hope to do this list justice.
