Job 42:1-3
Last month we wrote out of Job a lot based on the topic of friendship. If there is anyone in the Bible who suffered & endured hardship, it was Job. He literally lost everything, including his health, excluding his wife.
When the book opens, Job’s children were gathered together as they often did, so they had to be teenagers or adults. His 7 sons had their own homes and they took turns being the host. So they weren’t young children when they died. They were older.
Scholars aren’t sure how long Job suffered but after his friends got there, they sat with him in silence for 7 days and nights. Timing is the worst part of enduring, isn’t it? We never know exactly when it will end.
If Job could endure all that he went through, we can make it through our hardship, right?
