Hebrews 10:35-36

Starting at verse 32, the writer of Hebrews is remembering how people being faithful to Christ when they first got saved caused serious suffering. They were publicly ridiculed, beaten, & thrown in jail, simply because they believed that Jesus is the Messiah.

We should be encouraged as they were to remember what great rewards we have living for God. While we have probably never suffered like they did, some people have totally lost things because they gave their heart & life to Jesus. Thankfully, we have freedoms in America and we can worship without persecution. Other countries aren’t so blessed.

Patient endurance sounds hard, doesn’t it? It’s worth it though! If we can hold on to God’s promises, continue to do His will, we WILL receive ALL that He has promised. This is one of God’s IF/THEN promises. If we do what He says, He will fulfill the promise. That can help motivate us when we are struggling. Don’t give up! Keep moving forward!
