Jeremiah 4:1-2

We read the Book of Jeremiah through The Bible Recap and it’s not an easy read. Jeremiah was telling Israel a lot of bad things throughout most of the Book. Today’s verses are positive!

God wanted so badly to be first for Israel. While they had been in Egypt all those years, they still prayed but that was before they set the different festivals in place AND before any type of Temple was made. (Even a tent one.) They were exposed to the Egyptian’s idols for a LONG time. We can’t SEE God with our physical eyes, which is why it’s hard for some people to believe in Him.

I feel like this IF/Then promise applies to us too. If we would put away any idols we have & live fully for Him, acknowledging His truth, justice, & righteousness, we will be a blessing to the world! People can see Jesus in us and might want a relationship with Him too!
