Jeremiah 3:11-13

I am grateful that we have the Holy Spirit now. What an amazing Helper He is. Israel and Judah (the country was split at this time) did not have Him. But, they did have a long history with God and His prophets. They did have the 10 Commandments and all the ways God provided for them for so many years. Poor Jeremiah, I imagine he was the most hated man in all of Israel. God spoke directly to him and then he relayed the message.

Israel was worshiping false fake little g gods instead of living for the One true God who had done so much for them. BUT GOD, in His mercy, wanted them to know that He would take them back if they repented of their behavior.

God isn’t mad at anyone in our modern world. He doesn’t “punish” people. He sent Jesus to take our sins, diseases, and dis-ease (anxiety, fear, depression) FOR us. That’s mercy my friend!
