James 2:23-24

Last but certainly not least, God calls us friends. In today's verses, it was Abraham that is called friend. There are a couple of verses where Jesus says it too. (John 15:14-15) Of course, this isn’t saying we are on God’s level and equal with Him. He is still to be awed and revered. It shows a different dynamic to our relationship with Him.

Friends are the people we choose. You can’t choose your family. Ya know? Friends are people that you find a common bond with, get to know, and do life with. That’s what God wants with us too.

It’s my prayer that this month has helped us all see the value in friendships. We were made for community!
