James 2:12-13

The Book of James is written by James, Jesus's half brother. This letter was intended for the Jewish believers scattered abroad. Chapter 2 is titled, “A Warning Against Prejudice”. I think every person of every race and skin color needs to live the ways God, through the Bible, tells us to.

Let's get one thing straight- if you have fully surrendered your heart and life to Jesus, then you aren’t being “judged” on earth. God sees Jesus's blood on us and knows He has forgiven us. However, later, we will be judged on how we treated people and if we obeyed when God told us to do certain things. (Revelation 20:11-15 talks about this.)

My intention for these verses was to show us that God shows us mercy, therefore, we should show others mercy. I know we mentioned this once this month, but like forgiveness, I think mercy is something everyone deserves.
