Isaiah 57:18-19

Starting at verse 14, my Bible is titled, “God forgives the Repentant”. This is in regards to Israel going back to their land after being held captive in another. However, it is also for future people.

To be repentant means to feel bad about something you did that was wrong. We also like to talk about turning from sins and things not of God. (Repent = turn away from) When we do that, it pleases God. Sometimes even when we don’t, He heals us anyway. (That’s grace & mercy.)

God promises to comfort those who mourn, heal, and give peace. Jesus said all of the same things in the New Testament. I’m so thankful for the LORD and all He does!
