Isaiah 41:8-10

Today is day 2 of 5 that we are writing from the Book of Isaiah. If you will rember back, God chose Jacob to fully build His country of people with. He changed his name to Israel. Here, God clearly calls him His chosen one. Abraham, though, who Jacob descended from is called friend. God also chose Abraham and told him to leave his family land and go to a place He would show him.

At this time in history, God was encouraging Israel and telling them how He would help. We can take these verses and apply them to our lives. God loves us and wants to be our friend, LORD, and everything. He wants to be FIRST in our hearts and lives.

No matter what the world, the enemy, or our choices through our free will throws at us, God is with us. We shouldb’t allow discouragment to get us. God says He will strengthen and help us as well as hold us up with HIS victorious right hand! That’s good news my friends! We shouldn’t fear anything that comes our way. God is already there helping us through it!
