Hebrews 13:5-6

Last month we wrote verse 6 because of the word fear. This month, I added verse 5 and want to talk about 2 forms of anxiety some people struggle with.

Money can seriously cause anxiety if we aren’t careful. (The LOVE of money is difficult & should be avoided.) I remember a time when I was a divorced mom with 3 kids and I knew I didb’t have enough money as my gas gage kept going down it was causing me anxiety. I should have asked for prayer and help. But I tried to battle it alone. (Don’t do that!) When I did mention it to some friends, they were upset with me.

God’s promises in verse 5 are true. Regardless of the situation, God will never leave us. And He will never abandon us. Period.

People try to use social media for confidence and their value. They can struggle with anxiety if they aren’t getting likes or views. Our value comes from the LORD not people. And especially not people online.

These 2 verses are just really great to keep in mind…. because God is with us, we don't have to have anxiety or be afraid of people. (Or look to people for our value.) God is more powerful than any human! We also have authority over the enemy, so if he tries to come around, we can send him away in Jesus name!
