1st John 4:16-17

Death is a topic that makes some people feel anxious. Judgment from God when we die can also cause us issues if we aren’t grounded in the truth.

The truth is, if your name is written in God’s Book of Life, you have absolutely nothing to be anxious about. As our verses say, God IS love. God does not want ANYONE to go to Hell. But of course, living for Jesus is MUCH more than just a “get out of Hell free” card.(And you must accept His free gift of salvation.) Our salvation and what happens on the judgment day that John is talking about should not cause us any anxiety at all.

If you keep reading through to verse 18, you see that God’s perfect love casts out fear. That goes for anxiety too! God does not want us struggling daily with anxiety.
