Hebrews 10:37-39

Versed 37 & 38 are a paraphrase of Habakkuk 2:3-4. Habakkuk was a prophet in the Old Testament. In chapter 1, verses 1-4 he is complaining to God. God replies in verses 5-11 beginning at verse 12, it is the beginning of Habakkuk’s 2nd complaint, which runs over in to verse 1 of Chapter 2. Then God replies to the second complaint and takes up the rest of the chapter.

“A little while” to God is nothing. He is trying to get us to realize that even if we’ve been battling for years, it’s just a little while to Him. He is coming back! No question about it. While that might not comfort some, it will help if you take the bad times with the mind set that one day all of this will be no big deal. In Heaven, or later on in the new earth, we won’t have to endure or persevere through anything! Stay faithful to God during the hard times, even if they last years. God is faithful to us and He never leaves or forsakes us!
