2 Timothy 2:8-10

If I had to guess, I bet we don't know ALL that Paul endured after he became a Christian. He wrote about it, just like in our verses today, but I bet he didn’t write EVERYTHING. Ya know?

Sometimes Paul was in prison and chained. Other times he was under house arrest and chained. He was even chained to guards! He did not suffer when he was killing & putting Christians in jail. They just hated him talking about Jesus and that's when they started arresting him.

I like what Paul said in verse 9. The Word of God CANNOT be chained! They might have physically restrained Paul, but he could still talk. As long as he could, he was going to preach the Good News, chained or not.

When we are suffering through something, we can actually use God’s Word to comfort us. We can also know that what is happening might not be as bad as some have lived through.
