Genesis 19:15-16
I want to point out a few things today. First, the angels were firm. They talk to God and they knew the time line on Him destroying the towns. Second, they are very strong physically. Third, they would not leave until they had fulfilled their assignment.
As I stated on day 1, the angels have free will, just like we do, but the only ones we know of who tried to exercise it was Lucifer and the angels that followed him. The rest of them, these 2 included, are very loyal to the Lord and only do as they are told.
Lot was so hesitant to leave a town that sounds so terrible. He must have been either someone who did not like change or someone who had high hopes that the people would change. God loved Abraham SO much that He sent angels to get Lot out of there. Those angels were not going to fail their mission, so they did what they had to. That says a lot about God and how He uses angels. What are your thoughts?
