Job 38:4-7

Surprise!! You probably weren’t expecting Job in this list, were ya? Today’s verses are God talking to Job and his friends. So much has been said these past 37 chapters! Job’s friends had been questioning him, his wife said he should just curse God and die, then Job himself questioned things.

The entire chapters of 38 and 39 are God challenging Job. In my NLT version and the NIV, verse 7 mentions angels. Other Bible translations say, “sons of God”. I was mistaken, I believe that God had made the angels BEFORE the earth based on these verses. The angels rejoiced when God created the earth. I can only imagine how Job felt with God saying this to him. Sometimes I need that reality check too.

I love how the angels rejoice when good things happen. Don't you?
