Genesis 15:1

The call of Abram from God was recorded in Genesis 12. He was 75 years old when God asked him to leave his native country and go to a land God would show him. Abram was forced down to Egypt, then back up north.

I’m sure at that point, Abram, who would later be called Abraham, was a little fearful. He was wealthy so he was traveling with his wife, nephew, servants and livestock. That’s a lot to be responsible for & to protect.

God had already gotten him through some rough times, but this verse was the beginning of His covenant with Abram. This was His promise to take care of him. We can believe and trust this promise to Abram for ourselves. We dont have to be afraid, God will protect us and we have the reward of salvation!
