Galatians 6:9-10

Doing good and life still being difficult can become discouraging. I’m sure we have all said or had the thought, “But God, I’m living Your way and doing what You’ve called me to, why don’t I ______.” I know I have! It’s tough doing life God’s way and still feeling like life isn’t good. Jesus said He came to give abundant life, right? Why doesn’t life ALWAYS feel abundant?

I’m glad you asked… because we live in a fallen sinful world with an enemy and people who aren’t living for Jesus. They are GOING to mess with us because we chose God’s ways over them. He can't get our soul, but also as Jesus said, the enemy is killing, stealing, and destroying things. If he can keep us from praying, reading God’s Word, and attending church, then he’s got us distracted. We need to do our best to push through the hard times because at the right time, we WILL reap what we’ve sown.

Life is just that, reaping & sowing. It’s not even just Biblical. It’s a factor in life. If you over eat and don’t exercise, you gain weight. If you show up late for work and don’t work while you are there, you’ll probably end up fired. On the flip side, if you work hard & do what’s required of you, you'll probably get a raise and maybe a promotion. If you eat right and exercise, you lose weight. You reap what you sow.

When life gets hard and things aren’t like you prayed for, keeping doing things God’s ways and trust Him! He has blessings waiting and He knows the right time to give them.

Treat people God’s ways too. No matter who they are. God sees that as well.
