Ezekiel 34:16

Ezekiel was a prophet who used to speak to Zistaek on behalf of God. Chapter 34 is titled, “The Shepherds of Israel” and starting at verse 12, it’s titled “The Good Shepherd”. God says He Himself will search and find His sheep. (The ones who stray away.) We are compared to sheep because we are a lot like them.

Our Father searches for us, especially if we have gone astray. I have a list of people I'm praying for to come back to Him. It’s comforting to know that He is searching for them Himself. When they return, it will be a new beginning for them. They get to start over and begin again.

Those last 2 sentences are hard to read, but let me explain. The Old Testament covenant is unlike the New Testament. We must look at Jesus’ life and actions. He never destroyed anyone. He believes in justice though. I feel like God provides justice right when it’s due.
