Ephesians 6:10-12

I picked these verses to start a 2 day conversation about the armor of God and the forces against us. With God, we are strong, alone, we aren’t. God has armor that we need daily, which we will write tomorrow.

There are 2 things that I want to point out here. First, we have FULL access to an armor that helps us. Why am I talking about this on a perseverance & endurance list? Because this can help us endure. Second, our battle really isn’t with people. It’s evil rulers & authorities USING people to get to us.

We can physically see the people, so it's easy to think that they are the ones hurting us, but Paul says different. We have talked about people having free will, which we do, but in this case, it's more likely something evil prompting them to do something. They use free will to choose the action and they do what’s evil.

Other people can even be demon possessed and do stuff to themselves & others. (The spirit throwing the boy into water & fire to kill him comes to mind. Mark 9:17-24) Just think of the endurance of his dad. He had been dealing with this for years. When Jesus started healing people & casting out demons, he knew that was his answer.

Not every single little thing is demonic activity in our lives, but a lot of it is. Putting on God’s armor daily will help with that. Let's learn about each piece and talk about them tomorrow.
