Ephesians 2:4-5
Chapter 2 of Ephesians is titled, “Made Alive In Christ”. Paul starts verse 4 off with a “But God” because verses 1-3 talk about how life was before Christ. Once we were dead in our sin & disobedience. We obeyed the devil (the commander of the powers of the unseen world) and we refused to obey God. We followed our sinful nature and did what we wanted.
BUT GOD! So rich in mercy and loving us so much, He sent His Son to die once and for all! God's grace is a huge part of things too.
You may be thinking, “I didn’t ask to be born. It’s not my fault that I was born with a sinful nature.” You are correct. However, God wanted you here for such a time as this. You have talents, skills, & abilities that are unique to you.
He would love to be in relationship with you and for you to use all that He gave you to live a fulfilled life. He is just and sovereign. He used to require animal sacrifices to cover sin. Then, He sent Jesus to take care of it for everyone for all time. He loves us so much that He does NOT want to be separated from us. He sent Holy Spirit to us to help us. Life is not perfect. But I’d rather live with God than without Him.
