Romans 11:31-32
Today's verses pick up right after yesterday's. The “they” in verse 31 is Israel. Most of the people in Israel believe in God, but they don’t think Jesus (Messiah) has been on earth yet. So, Paul is stating that Israel is a rebel and that God wants to share His mercy on them.
Because we are born into sin with a sinful nature, we are fall short of God’s glory. Everyone unsaved and before being saved are considered rebels against God. A real rebel is someone who hears the truth but continues living outside of God's ways. No matter who you are, or what you’ve done, God’s mercy is available. He wants us all to turn to Him and live for Him all the rest of our days. We can just bask in God’s mercy because He wants us to!
