Acts 3:4-8

This is one of the coolest healing stories and it wasn’t even Jesus doing it! At this point, Jesus was back in Heaven and Peter and John were strictly allowing Holy Spirit space. Even though they were now living for Jesus, they had not abandoned their Jewish roots. They were going to the Temple for 3 o'clock in the afternoon prayer.

The lame man by the gates called Beautiful was smart to sit there and beg. Of course, someone had to bring him there daily. Because people were going to prayer or church service, they were probably generous. This was his only way to provide for himself.

The Bible doesn’t say that Holy Spirit spoke to Peter, but He had to have. Peter knew immediately to tell him he would gladly give what he had- healing in Jesus name. This healing was a HUGE testimony because SO many people knew him for his begging spot. When they saw him come into church, on two feet with Peter & John, they knew exactly who he was.

If you keep reading, Peter took this opportunity to preach and teach about Jesus. He took NO credit for the healing. All glory to Jesus and what He did for us all!
