Acts 5:15-16

Jesus was the only one healing people for awhile. Then, He gave the disciples power to heal and sent them out two by two. (Matthew 10:5-8 that we wrote almost two weeks ago describes that.) I’m not sure how much healing they did with Jesus around.

After Jesus resurrected, we see in John 20:22 that Jesus breathed on them and gave them the Holy Spirit and power to forgive. This was salvation. Holy Spirit comes in when we confess that Jesus is LORD. It wasn’t until after Jesus went to Heaven on a cloud and 50 days after the Passover when Holy Spirit came UPON them. (On the first day of Pentecost in the Upper Room. Acts chapter 2:1-4) That gave them the power to heal and many other things they didn't already have.

These men, Peter in particular since he is specifically called out, were able to heal the sick simply by the person being touched by his shadow! How amazing is that?!

There are a lot of us that write Scripture every day that are battling health issues. Myself included. We have to know, believe, and trust that God can and will heal us!
