2nd Chronicles 1:7-10

Solomon had just taken over as king from his dad David. They had a wirshio service and Solomon sacrificed 1,000 burnt offerings on the altar that they had someone managed to keep since Moses’ time.

I think God was so impressed with how Solomon had a worship service as he was taking office, that's why He did what our verses say. Solomon was o rebelled knowing how large the Jewish nation had become.

When God asked what Solomon wanted, he could have said many things- but he asked for wisdom & knowledge. That began his season of being king and it was a really good reign.
