1st Thessalonians 4:13-15

Chapter 14 of 1st Thessalonians is titled, “Live to Please God”. If you get time today, please read verses 1-12, it's really good. Starting at verse 13, my Bible is titled “The Hope Of Resurrection”. This is about us too, not just Jesus's resurrection.

Death is hard. Period. When people we love are no longer on earth to call, text, or spend time with, it hurts us. I heard someone say that grief is your love for that person with no where to go. The great thing about a fellow Christian passing away is that we know they go to Heaven. This gives us HOPE! We will see that loved one again one day.

Paul says here in verse 14 that when Jesus comes back to earth, He will bring back with Him all of the believers who have died. This part is the return of Jesus that no one knows the day or time of. I think trying to figure it out and/or focusing on it too much isn’t healthy, but it’s a real event that will happen. This verse is further proof that people who are Christ followers WILL be in Heaven until the time of Jesus's return.
