1 John 5:11-13

Dictionary.com defines eternal as “without beginning or end; lasting forever; always existing”. A synonym for eternal is permanent. The key here is that the eternal life God has given us is not just here on earth. It’s in Heaven with Him too.

John, the writer of this letter, is saying whoever has Jesus in their life has eternal life IN/ WITH Him. Non-Christians have eternal life too, just a way from God. This is not a place that God WANTS anyone to go. It was not created for humans, but the ones who reject God end up there. I’m thankful we can choose Heaven!
