1st Peter 3:13-14
Peter, formerly Simon who walked with Jesus for 3 years, wrote this book. He had endured many things being a follower of Jesus. As I have written before, I’m sure it was totally difficult to have a way of life for so many years, that’s God ordained, wrote in a Book, and strictly enforced, to this new way. Jesus came to fulfill the law. He made a new covenant. People were dying because they believed and followed the new Way.
Starting at verse 13, the title is “Suffering for Doing Good”. No one wants to hear that. We want to do good and everything be fine. Peter says to do good and God will reward you for it. We shouldn't be afraid of the enemy's threats. God has us and He will never leave or forsake us.
