1 Peter 4:16-17
As you can see, I am keeping us in 1 Peter for a few days. We learn from Paul so much but Peter also suffered for being a Christ follower. As one of the original disciples, Peter was an eye witness and close friend of Jesus. If you know the story, he denied knowing Jesus 3 times after He was arrested. Then, because he was so close to Jesus, people were horrible to him.
Verse 16 is just amazing! What a way to flip the script on the enemy! It’s a privilege being called a Christian, so there is no shame in suffering for Him!
The judgment Peter is talking about in verse 17, from my understanding is, God will talk to us about the things He prompted us to do as Christians. For example, if He tells us to say something to someone and we don’t, then I think He will bring that up. My advice is follow through when you feel like God tells you to do as best as you can.
