1 Corinthians 15:52-53

I should have had us write verse 54 and 55 as well! My NLT says, “Then, when our bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Desth is swallowed up in victory, O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”

One day we will have transformed immortal bodies. This might not be in Heaven, but on the new earth God is going to bring down from Heaven one day. Honestly, I’m not sure.

The fact of the matter is, we will go to Heaven when these bodies die, by spirit only. Then one day our spirit will reunite with an immortal body. I realize this sounds like a crazy sci-fi movie, but it’s real. We can believe this will happen because it happened to Jesus. After Jesus resurrected, His body had the scars on it, but He could appear in rooms and stuff. He disappeared a time or two as well. I have no idea if we will do that, but we will have a VERY different body. I’m looking forward to that!
