Romans 15:13

“I pray that God, the source of Hope, will fill you completely with joy & peace as you trust Him. Then you will over flow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

I absolutely LOVE this prayer! We can pray this over ourselves and others. It’s also what I like to call one of God’s IF/THEN promises.

With the Holy Spirit living in us, God has already filled us with joy & peace, as those are fruit from Him. (See Galatians 5:22-23) When we are enduring hardships, we sometimes forget that we have joy & peace to tap into. It’s there!

My old Pastor Josh taught us a method he calls, “dropping down”. (As out of your head & into the fruit of the Spirit.) But basically it’s stopping everything, clearing your mind, and asking God for the fruit you need in that moment. Joy & peace amidst chaos sounds amazing doesn’t it? It's possible!!

Confident hope is simply KNOWING where your hope comes from. We are NOT hopeless people. We love & serve the Great I AM! Nothing is too hard for Him! He has lovingly given us the tools we need to function and even thrive during hard times. Don’t let the enemy fool you. You are NOT alone!
